“The school has worked very hard to ensure the safety and education of the children. The children have come home on numerous occasions with lots of information which has reassured any concerns they may have had . Thank you for all your hard work in very difficult circumstances.” Parent of Y6 and Y4 child.
During this period of part school closure we continue to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers as well as now open to Year R, 1,6 and 5. Irrespective of any year group closure the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, our school will continue as normal in supporting our vulnerable children and if anyone has any questions regarding this they are asked to make contact with Sarah Leyland or Cathy Browne.
Please contact the school if you have any queries.

During this time when there maybe children accessing learning from home due to self isolation, the teachers will be setting work on Google Classroom which will run parallel to what the children are learning in school. If for any reason you are unable to access this please let the school office know so that we can help.
Please note the following websites for keeping safe whilst working online:

Why choose The Vale Primary School?
Our motto is ‘Inspiring All’ and that is exactly what we strive to do with a broad curriculum to stimulate a lifelong love of learning.
We are committed to ensuring every child at our school aims for excellence and we promote learning that is active, purposeful and challenging. We aim to ignite a passion for learning in all our pupils which they can carry with them on their education journey.
Everyone at The Vale nurtures and respects the whole school community and we celebrate each others’ success together while enabling opportunities for all our students.
It is also important that our children enjoy their learning experience and we do all we can to ensure that is the case at The Vale. We are keen that our children are involved in the planning stage of their education and allow them to express their views and raise questions.
We ensure children and teachers regularly meet to set targets within a supportive environment.
Looking after our environment is important to us and The School Transport Plan and we encourage our parents to agree a method of travelling to school; walking, cycling or using a lift share.
We encourage 'Vale Learner' attributes: being caring, safe, ready, respectful, resilient, embracing challenge and reflecting on learning.
“I think the school and its staff have done and continue to do a wonderful job under these difficult circumstances.” Y6 parent.
